How do you help people going through divorce? What services does Dear Co-Parent offer, and who should seek your assistance?
At Dear Co-Parent, we offer a range of services to assist individuals or co-parents navigating divorce or separation, focusing on communication, co-parenting, and child-centered solutions. Our services include:
-
Individual Coaching: Personalized support to help parents build strategies for co-parenting, effective communication, and navigating the emotional and practical challenges of divorce. This service can be both as a consultant behind the scenes or as known consultant assisting the family law team.
-
Joint Coaching: Coaching for both parents together, or separately, to improve communication, child-focused parenting, and handling everyday co-parenting issues like scheduling, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
-
Co-parenting Counseling: We help parents work collaboratively to raise their children post-divorce, focusing on reducing conflict, improving communication, assisting with difficult and complex issues in order to keep children out of the middle but in the center of parenting issues.
-
Mediation: Neutral facilitation to help resolve disputes, create agreements, and ensure fair outcomes in co-parenting and custody issues.
-
Parenting Plan Coordination: For high-conflict situations, we assist in structuring, implementing, and monitoring parenting plans to ensure they are viable and effective for both parents and the children. Dear Co-Parent will act as a special master, PPC, and referee in cases where parents want to utilize an arbitration approach to resolving co-parenting issues out of court.
We assist individuals or families going through divorce, co-parenting, or high-conflict custody issues. Whether you need help with communication, decision-making, or creating and maintaining parenting plans, Dear Co-Parent can provide guidance.
Do you quote fees?
We do not provide specific fee quotes prior to an informational meeting. However, we can share that Dear Co-Parent works on both an hourly and flat fee basis, with advanced retainers required for certain services.
While we understand that financial concerns are important, we believe it's essential first to understand your unique situation and needs. This allows us to provide a more accurate estimate of the time and resources required. After the informational meeting, we can offer a clear fee structure that is tailored to your circumstances.
Can Dear Co-Parent save me money? How?
Yes, Dear Co-Parent can save you significant money in the long run. By working with Dear Co-Parent, you're essentially getting the expertise of both a lawyer and a therapist in one, helping you navigate both the legal and emotional aspects of your situation. While this is an investment, it often saves thousands of dollars compared to the costs of lengthy litigation and or hourly rates of asking your lawyer therapeutic or co-parenting questions.
In co-parenting coaching or mediation, fees are typically split between both parties, making the cost much lower than having individual lawyers resolve the issues or engage in court battles. By resolving disputes outside of court and focusing on collaborative solutions, Dear Co-Parent helps you avoid the high costs of legal proceedings, reduce conflict, and create more lasting, peaceful resolutions.
Can I hire you as my lawyer in my Family Law case?
Dear Co-Parent, while operating under a legal license, does not act as your family lawyer or litigate family law matters in or out of court. Instead, Dear Co-Parent serves as a consultant, strategist, and coach, working alongside your legal team as an adjunct member of your family law matter.
This approach is intentional and by design. It blends legal expertise with therapeutic coaching to provide comprehensive support in navigating your family law case. Our goal is to help you make informed decisions and manage the emotional and practical challenges of family disputes while leaving courtroom advocacy to your legal counsel.
